Privacy policy

The short version: we collect the information you choose to send us, we use it only to reply to you and run this website, and we never sell it to anyone. The longer version follows.

Who we are

This website is operated by GO Build Labs LLC, 900 Jorie Blvd #196, Oak Brook, IL 60523. You can reach us about this policy or your data at sales@gobuildlabs.ai or (888) 445-0029.

What we collect

We collect two kinds of information:

• Information you give us. When you use our contact form or email us, we receive what you send: typically your name, email address, company name, your message, your communication preferences (such as whether you agreed to receive texts), and, if you choose to provide it, your phone number. We don't ask for anything we don't need to reply to you.
• Basic usage information. Like most websites, we use analytics to understand which pages people visit and where visitors come from. We use it only to improve the site, and we never try to work out who an individual visitor is. What the analytics itself collects depends on the provider we run; the cookies section below says exactly which one that is today and what it stores.

How we use it

• To reply to your inquiry and, if you become a client, to work together.
• To understand which pages on this site are useful and which aren't.
• To keep the site secure and functioning.

We do not sell your information. We do not rent it. We do not add you to a newsletter or drip campaign because you filled out a form. If you write to us, you get a reply from a person, not a sequence.

Text messages (SMS)

We do not send text messages to customers or prospects today. Our contact form does not ask for texting consent, and a phone number you give us is used to call you back. The one number in use is Go Technology Group's onsite visit number, described below. The rest of this section describes how texting will work if we start, and our SMS terms carry the same notice.

If you give us your phone number and agree to receive texts, we may send you SMS messages. We use texts for three purposes, and each one requires your consent:

• Conversational messages: replying to your inquiry by text when that's easier than email.
• Service notifications: updates about your project, such as scheduled calls, demo links, and status updates.
• Marketing messages: occasional tips or offers, only if you separately opt in to receive them.

Consent is not required to work with us. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, and you can reply HELP or email sales@gobuildlabs.ai for help. Full details are in our SMS terms.

No mobile opt-in information or phone numbers will be shared with, or sold to, third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are used only to send you the messages you asked for.

Go Technology Group onsite visit texts

GO Build Labs is part of Go Technology Group, Inc., which runs one text-message number for its IT support customers:

• Onsite visit notifications: when a Go Technology Group technician is booked to visit your location, we ask whether you would like a text when they are on the way. If you say yes, we note your consent on your support ticket and text you about that visit only (for example, “Go Technology Group: your technician is on the way and should arrive around 2:30 PM. Reply STOP to opt out.”). Typically one or two messages per visit. Saying no does not affect your service.
• Verification codes: the same number receives the one-time sign-in codes vendors send for accounts our own staff manage. Those are inbound only.

Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop these texts at any time, or HELP for help; you can also email support@gochicagoit.com or call (888) 445-0029. No mobile opt-in information or phone numbers will be shared with, or sold to, third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that keep this site and our correspondence running. Naming them is the point: “trusted partners” is not an answer, and your own security review would ask us for the list anyway.

• Vercel hosts the site and serves every page.
• Formspree receives contact-form submissions and passes them to us.
• Microsoft 365 carries our email, so anything you send us lands in a mailbox there.
• Google Analytics counts visits, as described under Cookies below.

Each receives only what it needs to do its job. We never share your information with advertisers or data brokers. If we add a provider that handles anything you sent us, it gets added to this list.

Cookies

We use Google Analytics to count visits and understand which pages are useful. It sets first-party cookies and assigns your browser a random identifier so returning visits can be counted once rather than twice. We do not run advertising cookies of our own and we do not sell or share this data with advertisers, but Google processes it under its own terms. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on or by blocking cookies for this site; nothing on this site stops working if you do.

How long we keep it

Contact inquiries are kept as long as needed to handle the conversation and any work that follows. Ask us to delete your information and we will, with the narrow exceptions below, which exist because deleting these would break a legal obligation rather than because we want to keep them.

• Records we have to retain by law, such as invoices and tax records.
• What we need to finish work in progress or enforce an agreement.
• Your text-messaging consent or opt-out, which we keep as the record that you asked to hear from us, or asked us to stop. Deleting it would leave us unable to prove either.
• Routine backups, which age out on their own schedule rather than on request. Deleted data stays deleted in the live systems.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email sales@gobuildlabs.ai and we'll respond within 30 days, usually much sooner, subject to the exceptions above.

We are a small Illinois business selling to other businesses in the United States, and we are almost certainly below the thresholds that make laws like the California Consumer Privacy Act apply to us. We would rather not hide behind that. Whoever you are and wherever you live, ask us for a copy of your information, a correction, or a deletion, and we will handle it as described here. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we will never treat you differently for making a request.

Children

This site is for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted clearly here.
