First, the honest part
When you should keep paying NetSuite.
We'd rather tell you this on a first call than sell you a platform you don't need. If any of these sound like you, staying put is the right call.
- You need multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation and statutory reporting across jurisdictions. That depth is expensive to build and NetSuite has already built it.
- You're heading for an audit, an acquisition or an IPO where a recognized platform is part of the diligence answer.
- Your accounting team already knows it. Retraining a finance team is a real cost.

You use the modules you were sold, and no others
Order to cash, inventory, some reporting. That's a much smaller system than the suite you're licensing.
The implementation never finished
This happens more often than you'd think. Phase two got put off, and the business runs on phase one plus a spreadsheet.
Your operation doesn't fit the model
The workarounds give it away. When the standard process needs a workaround at three different steps, you're paying to fight the product.

Questions people ask before switching.
Should we replace our accounting system too?
Almost never. Keep QuickBooks or whatever you run for the general ledger, and we'll connect to it. Accounting is a solved problem with real regulatory weight behind it, and rebuilding it is a poor use of your money.
How long does a custom ERP take?
Six months or more for something the whole business runs on. But you won't be waiting six months to see anything. We deliver it in pieces, and your team is usually using the first part inside a month or two.
Isn't a custom ERP overkill for a business our size?
A full suite clone would be. What we build is the part of an ERP your operation really uses, without the modules, consultants and licensing that come with an enterprise suite. For a business that works in an unusual way, that often comes in cheaper than bending yourself around a packaged system.
What stops us ending up locked into you instead?
The custom code is yours from the day we start writing it, kept in an account your company owns, with the hosting in your name. If you leave, you take all of it and hire whoever you like. That's the real difference between owning software and renting it, and it's why the lock-in problem doesn't just move from one vendor to us.
